We are proud to receive funding from Fleetwood Town Council that comes from Fleetwood residents. This money ensures we can stay open, keep the lights on and continue to tell Fleetwood’s story.
To undertake major projects such as redeveloping galleries, creating new community partnerships or learning opportunities, we need more funding and sponsorship.
We are a registered charity (charity no.1168613)
Visitors to our website will soon be able to donate to Fleetwood Museum online, until then if you wish to make a donation, please contact the museum manager at 01253 876 621.
A legacy – a gift in your will, can help us to continue to make a difference to people’s lives through all the work that we do at Fleetwood Museum.
To talk about a donation, possible business sponsorship or a legacy, please contact our Museum Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01253 876 621
Fleetwood Museum is staffed largely by volunteers. The people you see at reception, in the coffee house, on the galleries, leading our talks and craft sessions, are mostly local people giving up their time for free.
Without volunteers our museum could not open its doors – we are very proud of them. You could be one!
We are always looking for new volunteers to contribute a few hours a week to help keep our museum open. You could work in the café or on the galleries, or be involved in other areas of the museum. If you have skills in a particular area (I.T. or catering, marketing etc) and you think you could help us:
Contact us at email@example.com or 01253 876 621 to discuss becoming a volunteer.
Volunteer benefits include a discount in the museum shop and coffee house, and an annual programme of social events including a BBQ.
Why not join our active Friend’s group? The Friends number more than 200 and arrange social events throughout the year and raise funds for the museum that allow us to do things such as purchase objects for the museum collections.
Annual Membership gives you:
Free admission to your Museum throughout the year.
Invitations to exciting social events: talks, presentations, day trips, social evenings, coffee mornings, annual dinner, barbeques, previews of new exhibitions before they open to the general public, and much more. A quarterly newsletter keeping you up to date with Museum news. An opportunity to support your Museum and have fun helping us to fundraise as well! Funding helps the Museum in many areas: buying new artefacts, conserving objects, improving our offers for schools, displays and exhibitions. There are opportunities to volunteer and enjoy a hands-on experience! What more could you want?
If you are interested in supporting your local Museum, please fill in the membership application form available at the museum or download the one below and post it to the museum or hand it in at our reception.
