Getting Here
By Car

The museum is easily accessible by car, with free parking all along Queen’s Terrace and the Promenade.

M55 (J3). Take A585 to Fleetwood, and follow the brown signs to the museum (FY7 6BT). The museum overlooks the River Wyre. Free on street parking is available outside the museum and the nearest pay and display car park is accessible from Custom House Lane, to the rear of the museum. (FY7 6BY).

By Bus & Train

The museum is just a five minute walk from major bus and tram routes from Blackpool, with both buses and trams having access for those with limited mobility. For more information click the link below.

Access Statement

Due to the historic layout of this listed building, access to some areas is difficult. Please do contact us before your visit so we can make your time here as enjoyable as possible.

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Sir Peter’s Coffee House

Sir Peters Coffee House, serves a selection of delicious coffees, locally produced cakes, freshly made sandwiches, tasty Lancashire crumpets and our renowned afternoon teas. The cafe also hosts our popular ‘Songs at the Museum’ folk sessions. 

Access to the café and shop is free.
